Still, not many words from me. It seems I am in an unusually wordless phase at the moment... and in some ways I am really enjoying it (maybe others are too...). So instead some pictures.
Above is a bit of colour from our dogwalk on Friday. Below are some shots from a damp drive down to Dundee on Saturday to visit friends. It would be easy to just post sunny beach pictures of Angus (I have plenty of those) but there is more to the great county than that...

Finally a shot of Arbroath's Signal Tower Museum from last Wednesday. I will be in Arbroath regularly for the next few weeks. Ah, but what will I be doing..?

I need to know! I need to know. God, I am so crap with mysteries. Always want to solve them. NOW.
Love the dog shot in speeding car. How was her reaction on your return? Wondered for a while, did I forget to ask?
Not telling yet! You must have been a kind of superhero police officer ("I solve the crimes and I solve them NOW!").
Zoe was totally unchanged on our return. She had been well looked after and in our house for the main part so she was pleased to see us but no more so than when we get back from the shops on a regular day.

Nice to see dog again Rachel.
I too have gone through a long wordless phase - it has been a bit frustrating but feel I might be coming out of it now (fingers crossed)
Oh, I don't know... the world is so littered with words these days. A little word conservation won't do any of us any harm!
Woof!

Wordless? What? You? Nice dank pics though.
Well, I did write a wedding poem for someone (weddings - they're everywhere!) but nothing much more than that.
x
And that's yet another wedding poem... I think I'm up to about half a dozen now. And I don't even believe in marriage!

Well, that shows your art, Rachel. Creativity against the grain. You'll be Poetess Laureate next! The world's better littered with words than with most other things.
Hm - I think one has to be heard of outside of one's own town before it's laurel-time!

You will take your words to the airwaves and do a radio broadcast? Hey, it's Monday. Wild guesses are allowed.
I like that you show us ALL of where you live, not just the postcard pretty stuff.
Lovely pics - I like the atmospheric moodiness of them.
Dogs are so funny - they seem to have endless memories & yet forget what happened the day before.
I guess (since I don't have a choice) I'll just have to be patient on the mystery (drums fingers on table)...
I used to do a radio show with a friend - years ago now (mid '90s). I really loved it... but no, not back on the air.
Yes, patience is a virtue, isn't it? And it's nothing hugely exciting... just something new to me.

Always handy to have a camera when faced with "blogger's block". And it's always good to see bits of Scotland.
Has anyone ever managed to write a limerick about Arbroath?
A lazy question to ask in these days of Google.
A two – toothed old man of Arbroath
Gave vent to a terrible oath.
When one tooth did ache
By an awful mistake
The dentist extracted them both!
Surely someone can improve on that...
Dominic - thanks for the limerick. I was trying to figure out how to pronounce Arbroath :)
OOh, tale of mystery and intrigue! That building looks a bit Agatha Christie, too - the plot thickens...
My record with limericks is not good, D. I don't think I've ever written one I'd show anyone. Not yet.
I just walk past that building, R, so it's not my destination every week. Though saying that I might have a nosy in today. It's your small town museum...

a drive you say? in a car!?
my plan to alleviate your wordlessness remains at naught i'm afraid - a combo of weather and problematic backside muscle - and not soon either. working and then off to your native enlgland-land next week. perhaps blackpool on the way. i can hardly wait!
yes, i'm being anonymous. stupid blogger thing..!!!!
So who are you? I'm trying to think which of my friends has a problematic backside muscle...
x
Swiss - is it you? What with the cycling and all...
and p.s. yes, in a car but I wasn't driving. I'm quite good at shotgun.
x
it is true - i am the man of mystery!
It was your backside and Scottishness that gave you away...

I love the moody cloudy photos-and especially the one of your dog looking out of the car window. I wonder what you are doing in Arbroath? The only thing I know about it is the smokies which I have had at Crieff! Hope you reveal whatever it is soon!
Next post, I reckon. And in fact you are one of the very few people who already know... in a way.
And after all this build-up I feel that it will have to be something very exciting. Maybe I am joining the Royal Marines (they have a base in Arbroath). Unlikely though, all things considered. Maybe I am learning how to make smokies. Maybe I am learning the Declaration of Arbroath off by heart. No, none of these...
