21 today?

It's 21st June today - Summer Solstice, Father's Day (here in UK at least) but also Turner Syndrome Awareness day. Last year daughter and I raised money for the Scotland-based UK charity that supports people affected by Turner Syndrome by doing the Kiltwalk but this year I am raising money with a different kind of exercise. I have a significant birthday coming up in January 2027, quite a way off I know, but I am asking anyone who might be thinking of getting me a present for that to donate to this fundraiser for TSSS UK instead. There's no rush as the page will be active until April next year but please donate if you feel you want to. Daughter and I often communicate using Schitt's Creek gifs so this photo seemed appropriate for the page (see below). Since the passing of Catherine O'Hara there is a sadness associated with the show's images but we love them still. Also I think I shall be channelling Moira Rose as I make my way into this next phase of life.

Very little poetry writing going on here just now but an old poem of mine has made it into this new anthology Tides in Time from Pushing Out the Boat, North-East Scotland's magazine of new writing and visual art. The anthology is celebrating 25 years of the magazine - a huge achievement. I have had a couple of poems in this publication (though all well over 10 years ago) but the one they picked is this wee thing Snap:

This is still quite a meaningful one for me for many reasons (more details on request) but it's nice to know some of the words I've bundled together over the years are still hanging out with each other now and then.
