Day two - flashback?

There won't be a photo tomorrow because we'll be at a family funeral. Back on Thursday. But in the meantime here's a tricky one maybe...

Huh - did you cross the ocean? Do they have diners in Europe or Great Britain? I'm stumped!

'tricky' is an understatement Rachel.

I'm with The Bug...I thought DINER was more of an American thing. Can't wait to find out!

We reckon a diner on the A1. Don't know what Weaver means - there's a big clue in the picture.

Re the view - is that what you're travelling in? Cool.

A diner on the A1 sounds about right, Titus. I've seen diners along there. Marginally better than Little Chefs which are to avoided at all costs.

Truck stop diner on the A1 :)

It was indeed - an OK Diner on the A1 southbound (New Fox/Colsterworth). We like diners (one reason I was keen to stay in North America for so long!) and there aren't many in the UK. We thought this chain had disappeared so we were pleased to find one on the road south. But no, that isn't our van, T!

It's been ages since we've come this far south without taking the train option in fact. But this time there was just too much stuff that needed to come with us. We have, for example, clothes for all four seasons. OK, it's summer this week but who knows what will have happened by Easter!

As I said, no photo today. See you all on Thursday.

I love diners too. I am always on at my friend who is a chef to open one in Sydney but she won't do it. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your family member. xx
