Two songs

What was that about fewer posts..? Here are two songs new to me that I really like... the first one is from a Scottish band:

and the second one from a more English source:

Back soon to talk about the new Poetry Bus magazine (which is fab-u-lous!).
The music on the Bus CD is great too.

Like them both but LOVE the video of the second - reminded me of watching the free runners practicing outside Sheffield Hallam Uni - hilarious often times. And I like music which builds like an epiphany but then you go "ah" and do the pots anyway.

Yes, Tom Rosenthal is a musician/songwriter I came across on myspace ages ago. He has lots of really good songs (and some cute lyrics... but in a good way, mostly). And he has loads of good videos. Think he's directed one himself too. Lovely piano player too.

The other band don't have any fancy vids yet. I saw them at the folk club here the other week (though whether they're folk music or not was up for debate). Personally I couldn't care what genre they are - just put in the box marked 'good things'. 2 women based in Kirkcaldy.

Didn't go a mega-bundle on the first but the second I rather enjoyed. Apart from the fact the video reminded me of that cult film about old people having sex with dustbins.

You have your hands on a PB2?! Green with envy! He said mine was in the post. Ha.

What cult film is that, T? Not something I am aware of...

My mag came yesterday. I did preorder it about 6 months ago. It's worth waiting for though.

Never heard of it before. Where did you hear of it, I now wonder? Are you a cult film expert. I read its wikipedia page and wondered if the whole thing was a pisstake of cult films... but it's not right?

I'm guessing it's not for kids.

I think it was it might have been in Vanity Fair (love that magazine).

The thing about 'cult' films is that the whole thing has gone a bit Donnie Darko - they seem to be for everyone these days. This one definitely not for kids, indeed, hardly for anybody I'd suspect. A genuine cult!

I did watch "DD" some time back. Can't remember a thing about it apart from that I didn't like it much/was bored.
